Multi-lingual jazz vocalist, songwriter and actor Rebecca Kyler Downs has been a veteran of the Los Angeles scene for almost two decades.  Over the course of her career she has recorded voice-overs, movie cues, video games, jingles, and CDs.  Long known as one of the two beautiful girl singers with Red And The Redhots she has sung all over the US and Europe, been featured on national television and was spotlighted with them in Vogue, with Leonardo Di Caprio.
 
Although she will readily admit that French is her favorite language to perform in, she actually sings in five languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.    With her elegant appearance, trademark red satin gloves and rich throaty voice she brings glamour, romance and élan to the stage.

She has performed with many different artists over her career as both singer and writer.  She hit the Billboard Jazz charts in 2002 with her French lyrics and vocals on the opening track of Steve Reid’s smooth Jazz CD Dream ‘Scapes.  She has been featured on CD’s with Diana Krall, Tierney Sutton and Bobby Caldwell.
 
The title song of her own debut CD Love Me Like Candy - a song she wrote both music and lyrics to - has been featured in multiple film and TV shows including the TV series Roswell, Cathouse and Oscar-nominated movie The Cooler. Other songs off the same CD – both her originals and the classic standards she covered, have been used in other TV and film soundtracks, (Down With Love, Something About AJ, Point Pleasant, Joan of Arcadia) and on more than a few websites and musical compilation CD’s.  Her follow up CD - Couleur Café - showcases her rare ability to move easily and lyrically from one language to another, as well as her ability as a lyricist - in both French and English.
 
 
Her work as an actor includes TV shows like Miami Vice, Robbery Homicide Division LA, Will And Grace, One Life to Live, Another World, The New Donny And Marie Show, Everybody Loves Raymond and The Young And The Restless.
